1. The government of the Republic of Korea will send a delegation headed by Representative Suh Byung-soo to the inauguration ceremony of new President Juan Orlando Hernandez of Honduras set to take place in the Honduran capital of Tegucigalpa on January 27.
2. During its visit to Honduras, the delegation will meet with new President Orlando to relay the willingness of the ROK government to work closely with the new Honduran government. In addition, the group will actively conduct sales diplomacy with local entrepreneurs.
3. The ROK and Honduras have worked closely together in various sectors since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1962. Honduras, in particular, is the ROK’s long-standing Central American friend that has consistently supported the ROK on the international stage. The two countries are expected to see their friendly and cooperative ties further strengthened under President Orlando, a key Korea-friendly politician in Honduras.
