1. Second Vice Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul signed the ROK-Georgia and the ROK-Armenia Cultural Agreements at the Foreign Ministry on July 4.
o Vice Minister Cho and Georgian Ambassador to the ROK Nikoloz Apkhazava signed the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Korea and the Government of Georgia on Cooperation in the Fields of Culture, the Arts, Education, Youth and Sports.”
o Vice Minister Cho and Armenian Ambassador to the ROK Grant Pogosyan signed the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Korea and the Government of the Republic of Armenia on Cooperation in the Fields of Culture, Sports and Education.”
2. The conclusion of the Agreements with Georgia and Armenia comes on the occasion of the Caucasus Cultural Festival, to be hosted by the Foreign Ministry from July 4 to 9. The Agreements are expected to establish an institutional base for expanding cultural exchanges and help promote friendly and cooperative relations between the ROK and Georgia and Armenia, respectively.
