1. Head of the Department of Foreign Relations Falah Mustafa Bakir of Iraq’s Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) will visit the Republic of Korea from August 29 till September 1 at the invitation of the ROK government.
2. During his visit to the ROK, the Kurdish Head will meet with the Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, the President of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the Deputy President of Korea Eximbank and businesspeople as well as members of the Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee and the Education, Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee of the National Assembly.
° In their meeting, the Deputy Foreign Minister and the Kurdish Head will discuss ways to boost high-level exchanges and economic and development cooperation as well as situations in diverse regions of the world.
3. The Kurdish Head’s visit to the ROK is expected to serve as an opportunity to further enhance the bilateral friendship and cooperation that has been advancing since the ROK stationed its Zaytun Division in Arbil, Kurdistan, in 2004.
