1. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and Belarus in 2017, acting President Hwang Kyo-ahn of the ROK exchanged celebratory messages with President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus on February 10.

In his message, acting President Hwang expressed pleasure over the efforts of the ROK and Belarus to lay the groundwork for mutually beneficial cooperation across the board, including science and such technology as information and communications technology (ICT), as well as hope for further cooperation into the future of co-prosperity based on their friendship built since the establishment of diplomatic relations.
3. President Lukashenko, taking note of the progress in bilateral cooperation in various sectors since 1992, expressed hope that the two countries will further expand their ties through cooperation in science and such cutting-edge technology as ICT.
4. The ROK and Belarus plan to hold meaningful events to celebrate the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2017, which are expected to help further promote mutual understanding and exchanges between the peoples of the two countries.
