1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held the 3rd Republic of Korea-Czech Republic Cyber Policy Consultation in Prague on June 11, local time, during which the two sides agreed to continue bilateral cooperation in building a safe cyberspace.
° Ambassador for International Security Affairs Kim Gunn and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Security and Multilateral Affairs Martin Povejšil attended as head delegates of the ROK and the Czech Republic the Consultation that also brought together officials of various cyber-related government agencies of the two countries.
2. Building on what was discussed at the previous Consultations held in 2016 and 2017, the two countries reviewed the international cybersecurity situation, global and regional efforts regarding cybersecurity, and responses to cybercrimes; and discussed ways to step up bilateral cooperation on communication between law enforcement agencies and in capacity building, etc.
3. During the Consultation, the two countries pledged to continue cooperation, on the basis of their similar positions, in the United Nations’ process for creating cyber norms as well as in responding to cyber threats.
