1. The Korean government strongly condemns the recent and ongoing Houthi intrusion into and seizure of the U.S. Embassy compound in Sana’a and the detention of local employees.

2. The Korean government calls for the immediate release of local employees still under detention and withdrawal of all Houthi elements from the premises.

3. The Korean government reaffirms its position that principles of protection and respect for diplomatic premises and staff enshrined in the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and the 1963 Vienna Convention on Consular Relations must be respected.
