1. Mario Alzugaray Rodriguez, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Cuba in China, arrived in Korea on May 12 to discuss the establishment of the Cuban Embassy in Korea. Director-General for Latin American and Caribbean Affairs and Director-General for Protocol Affairs had separate meetings with him on May 13 and explained the overall procedures for the opening of an embassy.

2. Both countries will continue to communicate and cooperate with each other to facilitate the opening of permanent diplomatic missions.
